Locker just got even more social - you can now Direct Message with friends and groups of shoppers all within Locker!

Navigate to the new “mail” icon. On desktop, this is near the search bar. On the mobile app, it’s near your notifications.

Hit the plus sign to start a new chat: it can be a Direct Message (DM) with one other shopper, or it can be a group chat of people (up to 20 people max).
You can edit or delete your own messages in any conversation.

You can leave a DM or a group chat at anytime. Once you leave the conversation it will be removed from your messages.

If someone else leaves a DM or group chat you’ll be able to see it in the conversation, you can leave as well if you want it removed.

You can send a DM chat to any shopper on Locker, even if they do not follow you back.
You can only invite a user to a group chat who follows you back. If you are not the creator of the group chat, you can still invite members to the group as long as they follow you back.
You can also report any messages sent to you via DM or group chat.

You can also block a user from messaging you (or finding you across Locker) again. Just click their profile icon, and you can block their account.

🤝 Chats are a great way to show some love, to ask questions about shopping advice from friends, or to help make suggestions on how to style an item. However, it is not an opportunity to spread negative messages. As our moms taught us on the Locker team, if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all :)
❌ While we enable shoppers to save products from any brand or shopping app, please be sure that when share affiliate links for potential commission earnings, they must be via Locker Payback links and not competitive influencer, coupon site or cashback offerings. These competitive links will also be hidden by asterisks.
🚩 If someone a negative or harmful message to you or someone else in a group chat, you have the option to report the message by clicking the 3 dots on the comment. Our Chat provider is also set up with some protective guardrails to automatically hide potentially sensitive language with asterisks. You can also block shoppers.
